The Scottish Health Council is holding a Volunteering Event on Tuesday 30 March, 2010.
The aim of this event is to:
- Acknowledge volunteering activity in Lanarkshire
- Provide an opportunity to share good practice
- Develop opportunities for joint working across Local Authorities and voluntary sector
- Gather the volunteer experience
The event will give voluntary organisations across Lanarkshire the chance to showcase and share good practice. It will also provide the opportunity for volunteers to express and discuss their experiences and look at the benefits of being a volunteer.
We hope to encourage a pan-Lanarkshire sharing of practices around volunteering which may lead to better services. We will then share the information gathered with NHS Lanarkshire, partners and stakeholders.
